Choosing between the Durham BA and the Oxford BA

To help you make your choice, the following table outlines the differences between choosing the Durham BA and the Oxford BA, both of which can be studied at Wycliffe Hall.

The first two years of study are assessed for the degree.

Ministerial and mission training provided throughout, but particularly in the third year.
Mainly self-directed study preparing essays for weekly tutorials.
Assessed by final exams
Taught in both confessional and academic environments.

 

All three years of study, including integrated ministry and mission training, are assessed for the degree.
Mainly lectures and seminars, with essays, projects, portfolios etc.
Assessed by exams, essays, projects, portfolios etc.
Taught in a confessional environment.
